A 65-year-old pedestrian was in collision with car as he crossed a main road to get to a store.
It happened at lunchtime on Tuesday in Gisburn Road, Barrowford. The man was crossing the road to get to the Spar Shop.
A woman driver was coming out of the car park area at the rear and they were in collision as she entered the main road, but it was at low speed.
The accident took place at 12-16pm and the police and ambulance were called to the scene. The road was closed for about 15 minutes until the victim was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
