Dance yourself dizzy!

Learn the moves - then come and join in the dance!

Pendle Leisure Trust and Ludus Dance are hoping to create something quite unique on Saturday – a Flashmob dance at Morrison’s supermarket in Nelson ... but they need your help!

People are being asked to learn the dance routine – and then turn up and perform it along with hundreds of other people. If lots of people get involved, it should be a sight to behold!

The idea is a joint venture between the Trust and Ludus. They are working in partnership to find out the demand for dance in Pendle.

All this week, members of Ludus Dance have been running a series of workshops and taster sessions with different community groups, teaching a whole range of dance styles.

This will culminate in the Flashmob dance tomorrow – and they want as many people as possible to join them.

Phil Storey, Chief Executive for Pendle Leisure Trust, said: “We are really excited about this and we hope as many people as possible will join us for this pretty unique event.

“We are working with lots of different partners and Ludus Dance to ultimately come up with a dance strategy for Pendle and open up more opportunities for all our different communities.”

Ludus Dance is based in Lancaster and offers community dance classes, develops community projects and creates original contemporary dance performances for young people and families.
