Brilliant behaviour has left a Barnoldswick school seeing gold - six times over!

Barnoldswick CE Primary School secured gold in each category of Lancashire County Council’s Behaviour Quality Mark and gained gold overall, becoming only the second school in the county to achieve a clean sweep.

Headteacher Michelle Dodgson said: “We have looked at how we promote good behaviour and respect, how we build relationships, how we tackle bullying where we have it and the processes we have in place to prevent that.

“All parents, staff and governors have worked hard to achieve this. We are all very pleased and proud of the children.”

Lorimer Russell-Hayes, the Behaviour and Attendance Consultant for Lancashire County Council, said: “I think what impressed me was the positive ethos all round the school, the high expectations and really the consistent approach on that by school staff.”
