Two Barnoldswick sisters who excelled in their summer exams are now the poster girls for Burnley College Sixth Form ahead of the centre’s autumn open days.
Former West Craven High School pupils Chloe and Gemma Wilkinson achieved success in their respective A Level and AS Level results in August.
Chloe (18) achieved outstanding results in her A Levels in biology, chemistry and French and is now studying chemistry with industrial experience at the University of Birmingham.
In addition to her A Level studies, Chloe received a Gold CREST award from the Nuffield Foundation, a nationally recognised scheme which rewards science and technology projects, for her research into heart disease which she undertook alongside her studies.
Meanwhile Gemma (17) achieved fantastic results in her AS Levels in English language, English literature, creative writing and graphics.
Alongside studying for four AS Levels, Gemma also achieved an A* grade in A Level French, which she sat a year early.
Gemma is now studying for her A Levels at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre and plans to progress to Anglia Ruskin University to study a gaming degree.
For more information on the centre’s courses, visit the open event this Wednesday or on Thursday, November 6th 5-30pm and 8-30pm.
