Every single pupil from Reception through to Year 6 at St Thomas’s CE Primary School in Barrowford completed the Sport Relief mile.

Following a route up and down Wheatley Lane Road, parents and grandparents lined the road to cheer them on.

In total, the children raised an amazing £711.95 for Sport Relief, equating to over £5 per person.

Headteacher at St Thomas’s school, Michelle Wright, said: “Every single pupil from Reception through to Year 6, as well as all of the staff, took part and completed the mile, which was quite a feat, especially for the younger ones.

“We were immensely proud of their determination to make it to the finishing line - as well as their incredible fund-raising efforts.”
