Five Nelson pupils let their imaginations run wild when they won a trip to Blackpool Zoo.

Amelia Masih, Glory Emiohe, Amelia Turner-Smith, Emilia Ashrafkhani and first prize winner Kacper Pietrzak, of Holy Saviour RC Primary School, took on the Mammoth Task of designing a poster for Blackpool Zoo’s new Elephant House.

Headteacher Annemarie Nield and Janet Motyka, of the school’s Eco Council, both said: “We are extremely proud and happy for all our winners. The competition was open to schools from all over Lancashire so to have the Key Stage 1 overall winner, three runners-up and also a runner-up in the KS2 competition is amazing.”
