New inter-school talent competition

A youth theatre group is hosting an inter-school talent competition between high schools in Burnley, Hyndburn and Pendle next year.

Spotlight on Schools is a new annual competition offering participants the chance to win funds for their school.

Up to four acts can be put forward to represent each school in the bid for a prize of £500, which has been donated by Standish Street Dental Practice.

Participants will showcase their talents in front of a panel of professional judges and a packed auditorium.

There will be two semi-finals at Burnley Youth Theatre in February while the final has been arranged for Friday, March 3rd.

The schools taking part in the event are: Marsden Heights Community College; Pendle Vale College; Colne Primet Academy; St Christopher’s CE High; Unity College; Blessed Trinity RC College; and Hameldon Community College.
