PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson has launched his annual Christmas card competition for Pendle primary school pupils.

The chosen design will be re-produced on the front of Andrew’s official Christmas card which goes to hundreds of people, including local councillors, Government agencies and fellow MPs.

He said: “I am delighted the Marsden Building Society has agreed to sponsor this year’s competition, meaning the prizes on offer are better than ever. First prize will be a children’s bike of their choice (up to the value of £150). Second and third place prizes are being arranged along with 10 further prizes of £10-worth of book vouchers for highly commended entries.

“As a bonus, the school that submits the winning design will receive a stained glass panel replica of the design, generously created by Nick Moore of local company styxglass.co.uk in Nelson.”

To enter, children’s designs must be returned to Andrew’s Nelson office (9 Cross Street, Nelson, BB9 7EN) by November 30th. The winning design will be chosen on December 1st.
