The NMT Nursery Awards is an annual event organised by Nursery Management Today, and Pendle Nursery, rated as “outstanding” by Ofsted, is up against four others to win the award.

Ahead of the ceremony, the nursery’s management said they were thrilled to have been shortlisted but had not expected to make the top five in the country.

Lisa Beckwith, manager of Pendle Nursery, said: “We are overjoyed to have won this award, and put it down to the hard work of all the staff. We have created a truly magical learning environment for children of all ages and abilities to explore.

“The judges chose Pendle Nursery because they demonstrated a high level of learning, they have influenced other nurseries and schools and their resources are open ended, there are no barriers.

“They also have a great local community reflection, a history of families returning to them and an outstanding demonstration of special needs provision.”

Winners of the NMT Nursery Awards 2016 were presented with their trophies by Professor Robert Winston at the high profile Gala Night held on Saturday, November 26th at the London Hilton Metropole Hotel, attended by over 600 guests.
