PUPILS from a Colne primary school were treated to a day of dancing in order to learn more about other cultures.
Reception and Key Stage One pupils from Park Primary School took part in Eid Day celebrations.
They were able to taste Asian foods, make Eid cards, and decorate biscuits in the shape of a crescent moon.
Some pupils got the chance to have traditional henna tattoos, and everybody enjoyed taking part in a traditional Asian dance. Staff even dressed up for the occasion.
Jennifer Blaylock, religious education co-ordinator for the school said: “With the majority of the children at our school being White British, the day gave them a chance to learn more about the Asian culture.
“The children had a really good day, and we are considering holding more multi-cultural events in the future, maybe for Chinese New Year.”
