A PENDLE park was full of crafty kids as a friends’ group held a fun craft day.
The Friends of Victoria Park, Nelson, working with Pendle Council’s Parks and Recreation Service and the Beacon Children’s Centre, organised the event for children aged up to 12 years.
Children were able to have a go at clay modelling and made masks, kites and peg dollies.
They also made their own paper flowers – and planted nasturtium seeds to try to grow the real things, or if they wanted to eat what they grow, they planted pea or runner bean seeds.
Carole Devlin, the chairman of the Friends of Victoria Park, said: “We organised the event with a view to encouraging children to have respect for their local park and to come down and have fun together.”
