A FAMILY friendly music festival showcasing local talent is coming to Colne tomorrow and is set to take the town by storm.

The one-day free music festival “Green that Rocks” has been organised by Colne Town Council’s Events Committee.

Some of the acts to appear include Local Purple Brother, Cover Story and Walter Mitty’s Head. Other bands will also be taking to the stage playing a range of music to entertain the crowds.

Town council chairman Coun. Dorothy Lord said: “It’s great to be able to showcase local talent while providing an afternoon of entertainment for all of the family.

“We just hope the weather stays fine and that the people of Colne will come down and have a great afternoon.”

The concert will also feature charity stalls, hot food and refreshments.

Alcohol at the event is strictly prohibited, and seating is not provided so anybody not wishing to sit on the grass should bring a chair.

The concert is being held on the Millennium Green in Waterside on running from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.
