Friday may have been widely known as Valentine’s Day but for children and staff at a Kelbrook nursery it was much more than that.

Red might be the colour of love, but children and staff at Brook Farm Nursery off Harden Road were dressed in every shade from crimson to scarlet to promote Feeding Tube Awareness Week for two-year-old Ruby Toor.

Ruby, who lives in Barnoldswick, has attended the nursery since she was nine months old and relies on the use of a tube to feed three times a day.

The Feeding Tube Awareness Foundation’s emblem is a red heart and staff thought it would be great idea to link the two events together.

Read more about this story in Friday’s Barnoldswick and Earby Times.
