Alexander and Tristesse - an acoustic duo who started making music together just eight months ago - have dedicated themselves making the most of the gift of music to help local causes and raise money for charity and have done since their first gig in June 2016, at the ‘Save the Empire’ cause in Burnley.

Alex - of local band Spacebats, and who plays several instruments, sings, writes, and acts - met Tess - a professional performer formerly of Outcry Arts who spent two years managing The New York Stage at Burnley Blues Festival - last May and they hit it off instantly.

Their shared skills enable them to perform as an eclectic mix of gender experimental vocals and stunning guitar riffs, presenting a range of popular songs blended and remarried as new and interesting takes on the originals.

A highlight on their calendar will be Pendle Powerfest on May 28th, at which Tess will be event presenter and where the focus this year is to raise money to buy toys for children in local hospitals.

The pair will also be taking part in the Marie Curie Swimathon on April 11th, which will see Alex and Tess - as part of a team called the ‘Mighty Aqua Warriors’ with their friend, James Stovold - swim 200 lengths with all proceeds going to Marie Curie.

They will also be at the The Tapsters Promise on 2nd July and The Duke of Lancaster on 9th July, with all proceeds from said events going to Pendleside Hospice in memory of Tess’ friend Brian, who sadly lost his fight to cancer last December.
