A NELSON man is going to put himself through a gruelling 10 mile assault course to raise money for charity.
Steven Taylor (31), from Eckroyd Close, will test his mental and physical limits during the exhausting Total Warrior event held in the Lake District on August 7th. He is hoping to raise £500 for the Multiple sclerosis charity, in honour of his mother-in-law who suffers from the illness. He said: “I actually started training for the London Marathon, but I just fancied doing something a bit different.” During the event he will be have to overcome treacherous mud baths and 4ft. flames amongst numerous other exhausting obstacles.
“I’ve been doing circuit training up Pendle Hill about 3 times a week but I have not done anything like what will be in store for me.” Anyone wishing to sponsor Steven should go onto his website which is www.justgiving.com/StevenTaylor1979.
