Trawden Brownies have been improving their skipping skills as part of their Healthy Heart Badge while raising funds for the British Heart Foundation.

As part of the badge criteria over the last six weeks, the Brownies have been learning how important exercise is in helping to keep your heart healthy.

French Skipping was even introduced into the programme and a finale skipping challenge was arranged as part of the national Jump for Heart initiative organised by the BHF.

The girls all took part in a full hour of skipping activities both indoors and out and raised £166 plus gift aid.

Supporting parents and families stayed on to encourage them and they enjoyed homemade refreshments which raised £26 for HAPPA.
