A former Colne mill, which had become recognised locally as a “danger and an eyesore”, is being considered as a potential housing development.
Oak Mill, in Skipton Road, was knocked down in 2013, after years of causing concern to councillors, police and residents.
The former Earby Light Engineers base has since raised fears after the boundary fence around the site had partially collapsed.
But now, leader of Pendle Council Coun. Joe Cooney, speaking on behalf of PEARL (Pendle Enterprise And Regeneration Limited), said: “It is a site we are looking at for potential housing development.
“The financial details are currently being looked into and a report will be brought to a future board meeting setting out the possible options.”
