HOUSING Pendle’s supported housing service “Younique” is celebrating another success after becoming the first in Pennine Lancashire to have attained the Telecare Services Association’s “Platinum” standard.
The service becomes one of only five in the country to have reached the Telecare regulator’s highest mark.
The Younique services have been shaped and developed to provide flexible support to meet the modern needs of local communities.
They include a “community alarm” and pendant with 24-hour advice and support, and response service and a visiting support service that also includes the alarm. This service can be provided to people wherever they live and is not restricted to Housing Pendle tenants.
Housing Pendle - part of the Together Housing group - also uses state-of-the-art equipment to keep its customers stay safe, including environmental sensors such as smoke, carbon monoxide and gas through to person-centred sensors such as falls detectors, bed exit and wandering sensors and medication dispensers.
These are all designed to raise an alert direct to Contact 24 call centre who can then organise the appropriate response to ensure a customer’s safety.
Last year, the group recorded its best-ever satisfaction figures with its services gaining over 90% customer satisfaction.
In order to achieve this prestigious award, Younique was judged on eight areas of service including installation of equipment, responding to calls, how well it can tailor the service to meet the needs of the customer and re-evaluation of their support needs over time.
Business Operations Manager Joyce Leighton said: “We are extremely pleased to have received Platinum accreditation.
“This achievement underpins our philosophy of providing exceptional levels of customer service and reflects the enthusiasm and dedication of the Younique Living Teams commitment to developing sustainable support services for all our customers.”
