The years have “scone” by as quickly as cakes were devoured at a Barnoldswick carehome celebrating its 30th birthday.

Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson clinked teacups with residents, staff and visitors of Abbeyfield House, Gisburn Road, earlier this month when they celebrated 30 years since the carehome first opened.

Cream tea wasn’t the only treat on the menu as the group tried their luck at winning fabulous prizes in a raffle and tombola.

Senior House Manager, Jean Lawson, said: “Andrew Stephenson really enjoyed his cream tea and said they were the best scones he had ever tasted!”
