Tickets are still available to see singer and impressionist Joe Longthorne perform at Colne’s Muni on Thursday, February 17th.
Joe first shot to fame in 1981 after appearing in the programme ‘Search for a Star’ where he was a finalist.
Following that, he appeared on many television programmes throughout the 1980s including ‘Live From The Palladium’ as well as appearing at several Royal Variety Performance shows.
He has also performed to sell-out crowds at the Royal Albert Hall, toured Australia and was given the Variety Club’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
Joe’s repertoire of voices is endless and includes hundreds of the world’s top singers, but he is perhaps best-known for his impersonation of Shirley Bassey, who has said: “Joe can do me better than I can do myself!”
In 2006, he was finally cured after a 17 year battle with cancer and since then has gone from strength to strength. Joe is now looking forward to new challenges, new songs to sing and new audiences to thrill.
Tickets for the show are priced at £22.50 in advance and £24.50 on the door. Doors open at 6-45 p.m. for a 7-30 p.m. start.
