A pair of young Earby brothers could be budding martial arts masters after gaining grades at the latest Pendle Karate Academy session.

All 19 students taking part in the grading session were successful and those that gained their first red belt in September have now achieved grading for yellow belt status.

For others it was their first grading session and now they have the red belt.

Two of those 19 were Michal Broda, who passed his first ever grading session and has gained a red belt, and his older brother Jakub gained his yellow belt.

Instructor Khurshid Ismail said: “Rahim Hussaun obtained a very high mark of 82, and if he keeps this up, he will have a good future in karate.

“All the students have been training very hard for this. We have little Michal only five-years-old and some of the others only six-years-old. I am very pleased with them all.”

Pendle Karate Academy training sessions are held at the Community Centre, New Road, Earby and in Nelson and Barnoldswick. For full information, call Khurshid Ismail on 07825 511120 or visit the website at www.pendlekarateacademy.co.uk
