Funeral details for Colne mum Julie Patefield (38)
THE funeral of mum-of-two Julie Patefield – whose need for bone marrow donors launched a massive campaign for more volunteers across East Lancashire – will take place tomorrow (Friday).
The 38-year-old from Colne had received extensive leukaemia treatment and after a donor was traced in America she was making good progress.
Sadly, however, she was hit by a virus and lost her battle for life.
She died peacefully at Manchester Royal Infirmary on Wednesday last week.
Julie's funeral will take place at St Michael and All Angels' Church in Foulridge at 11 a.m..
There is a request for family flowers only, but donations can be made to BE Bosom Friends via funeral directors Denis Hartley and Son of Colne.
