Nelson and Colne Colne College open evening

NELSON and Colne College welcomed over 400 visitors to the campus for a special Year 10 Open Evening.

The college has recently completed its multi-million pound new build project and, during the event, visitors were able to view the new buildings and state-of-the-art facilities which incorporate a new sixth form centre, hairdressing and beauty therapy salons, sports hall and fitness centre, a theatre and cutting edge music and design studios.

The new catering facilities were also able to provide visitors with the chance to try their hand at making spun sugar and chocolate truffles!

Activities were arranged in all areas of the college.

College principal Lyn Surgeon thanked and congratulated staff and students who assisted in making the evening a success.
