Barnoldswick soldier prepares for 1,200 mile charity walk
THIS weekend, Pendle ex-soldier Martin Fletcher is making his way down to Cornwall to start his charity fund-raising walk from there to the most northern point of Scotland.
Martin and his twin Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Jess and Tara, are making a walk of 1,200 miles from Land’s End to John o’Groats. And they will raise cash for Pendle-based Veterans’ Association UK, helped by support from the dog food firm CSJ K9.
On Monday, they will set out on their huge walk of the whole length of the country.
Martin, who lives in Barnoldswick, can be supported in his fund-raising by calling in at the VAUK office at Sough Bridge Mill, Colne Road, Kelbrook (787478), or visit VAUK website - www.veteransassociationuk.com
