Colne man (50) accused of rape in 1980s

a COLNE man has appeared before Burnley Crown Court charged with two offences of rape.

John Duffy (50), of Skipton Road, is alleged to have committed the offences against a girl aged under the age of 16 in 1983 and 1985.

The matter was adjourned to a plea and case management hearing on November 29th, with a provisional trial date of April 15th next year.
