Earby crime crackdown

POLICE are stepping up patrols around the Cemetery Road area in Earby following an issue raised by a councillor.

Coun. Rosemary Carroll raised the problem of youths drinking alcohol and hanging around at the cemetery and the road leading up to it at Pendle Council’s latest West Craven Committee meeting.

Sgt Kim De Curtis, Neighbourhood Community Sergeant for Colne and West Craven, said increased patrols late at night were to take place.
