Earby on flood alert

Earby remained on flood alert this morning after heavy rain in the last 24 hours.

The Environment Agency first issued the alert just after 6-15pm on Sunday evening and said that river levels in Earby Beck and New Cut from Kelbrook to Broughton-in-Craven are set to remain high throughout today.

The agency added that river levels could rise even further if the rain intensified, potentially leading to a flood warning.

Call Floodline on 0845 988 1188, select option 1 and enter Quickdial number 137002 to get more information.
