A BISTRO with a difference has opened up in Barnoldswick giving the town a little more sophistication.

The Cellar Bar, in Rainhall Road, now has a bistro offering good food in a refined atmosphere of modern French-style decor.

During the day demand at the cosy café has already soared way above owners Alan and Penny Sagar’s expectations. At night trade in the bistro has also boomed, it being fully booked most nights, so much so that within two weeks of opening, the kitchen had to be extended to allow room for extra staff.

Penny said: “It’s been terrifying! We are very lucky that we have such good customers in the bar that many have come up to support the bistro. I think we are doing something that nobody else in Barnoldswick has done before. The response has been far greater than we ever anticipated.”
