M65 smash causes traffic chaos

A CRASH on the M65 last night caused traffic chaos for motorists heading west from Burnley and Pendle.

The incident, involving three cars and a van, happened around 4-30pm on the westbound carriageway at junction 8 near Accrington.

Police closed two lanes of the motorway until debris was cleared off the road and there were heavy tailbacks to junction 11, Burnley. There were no serious injuries.
