Police raid former Nelson pub after car ‘clocking’ complaints
POLICE
POLICE and Trading Standards officers took part in a raid at the former General Gordon Inn in Halifax Road, Nelson, early on Wednesday morning.
It follows suspicion about cars being sold having their odometer – the mileage level reading – reduced.
Mr Paul Noone, of Lancashire County Council Trading Standards, said: “The operation was carried out following complaints that clocked vehicles had been sold from the premises. Paperwork relating to the supply of vehicles from the premise was seized, and Trading Standards will be continuing their investigation into this matter.”
