Snow closes lane on M62

THE Highways Agency has announced that lane one of the M62 in each direction between junctions 21 and 22 in Greater Manchester is currently closed due to weather conditions.

Drivers are being reminded to plan ahead for journeys for this evening’s peak period and beyond as windy and snowy conditions are likely to persist throughout the day and into tomorrow morning with temperatures dropping into the evening - particularly around higher level routes including on the motorway network. Drivers should assess whether their journeys are really necessary in the light of traffic and weather conditions.
