Trawden school hosts Christmas Extravaganza

ORGANISERS of a popular festive event in Trawden are promising that this year it will be bigger and better than ever.

Trawden Forest Primary School, in Dean Street, will host its “Christmas Shopping Night Extravaganza” on November 30th, after it was made a permanent fixture of the school’s fundraising calendar.

There will be 20 stalls available for people to browse, from local businesses such as Crispy Couture, Sockaholics, Dotty Potter, The Dressing Room and Chocolate Falls of Lancashire, as well as refreshments, including homemade mulled cider, mulled wine, hot chocolate, homemade mince pies and cakes.

There will even be an opportunity to have a relaxing head, shoulder, hand or foot massage.

Money raised will be put towards funding equipment, as well as resources and trips for the children that would otherwise not be possible.

One of the organisers and a teacher at the school, Emma Lee, said: “It’s so important to the school that additional funds are raised and we had such a fantastic response last year from businesses and stall holders as well as the public, we knew we’d have to do it again but bigger and better.

“Everyone is welcome and we’d love as many people as possible to come along, and show support for these great local businesses as well as our school.”

Doors open at 7pm and there will be an entrance fee of £1, which includes a strip of raffle tickets.

Anybody interested in having a stall should contact the school on 865242.
