UPDATE: 24-year-old train passenger charged after causing disruption in Colne

A 24-YEAR-OLD man who caused disruption at Colne Railway Station yesterday has now been charged with common assault.

Police have confirmed that James French, of Claremont Road, Accrington, has been bailed and is due to appear before Pennine magistrates on December 12th, at 9-45am.

Delays of up to 30 minutes were caused between Colne and Blackburn, after French was said to have pushed a man at the train station.

Services were running as normal at approximately 3pm.
