Woman hospitalised after Nelson crash

A WOMAN was taken to hospital unconscious following a crash in a busy Nelson street.

Firefighters had to cut her free from her Toyota Avensis after it was in collision with a Vauxhall Vectra at 10-35am today.

Pendle Street and a section of Every Street were closed for an hour while the wreckage was cleared and police carried out an investigation.
