Prince Charles to receive gold season ticket from Burnley FC
The special gold season ticket which Prince Charles will receive
TO coincide with the new season ticket campaign, Burnley Football Club have arranged for a very special delivery to Clarence House, the Prince of Wales’ official residence.
A special gold season ticket will soon be winging its way to our biggest celebrity supporter, in the hope that we can soon turn the Directors’ Box here at Turf Moor into the Royal Box!
Prince Charles, who is heavily involved in the regeneration of Burnley, gave the club his royal seal of approval when speaking at a ceremony for the British Asian Trust.
He is reported to have said: “A consortium of my charities, including the British Asian Trust, has been working in Burnley.
“Hence, some of you asked this evening whether I support a British football club and I said ‘yes, Burnley’.
“People have responded ‘Burnley’. Oh yes, because Burnley has been through some very challenging times and I am trying to find ways of helping to regenerate and raise aspirations and self-esteem in that part of the world.
“My charities have been working there to demonstrate that an integrated approach can produce the best dividends.”
