A four-car shunt in Vivary Way, Colne, led to heavy traffic congestion in Colne town centre this morning.
The vehicles – a Toyota Yaris, two Vauxhall Zafiras and an Audi A4 – were involved in the incident at around 10-30am.
Police said that the female driver of the Yaris had sustained a neck injury and was treated at the scene by ambulance crews.
Other drivers sustained minor injuries, they said.
One carriageway of the eastbound road was closed for a short time while a small quantity of fuel was washed away, and many drivers chose to travel along Whitewalls Drive to join the main road through Colne to avoid the queues which formed after the collision.
