Huge print works site on market for £2.5m.

A price tag of £2.5m has been placed on the former Marks and Spencer printworks factory on Widow Hill Road.

The 58,000 sq.ft complex was one of the first factories to be erected on the Heasandford Industrial Estate and became vacant when St Ives printers closed in 2015,

The move, which resulted in 80 employees losing their jobs, came about when St Ives’s parent company decided to transfer production to its Redditch plant.

A company spokesman said at the time: “The decision has been reached as part of the SP Group’s strategy to consolidate its manufacturing operations into a single location.”

He said the SP Board’s decision to restructure the manufacturing base will enable the business to offer better value and lower costs.
