Man hospitalised after car and motorbike in Colne collision

A 22-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital last night after a collision between a car and a motorbike in Colne.

The incident took place at approximately 9-25pm in Skipton Road close to the Castle Road and Regent Avenue junction.

The bike collided with a Citroen Picasso and the male motorcyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance complaining of shoulder and leg injuries and back pain.

His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. The female driver of the car was not hurt.

Police closed the road for three hours and a traffic diversion was put in place.
