‘No major concerns’ for pedestrian knocked down in Colne

A 26-year-old man who was yesterday knocked down in Colne is said to be progressing well.

Emergency services were called to an incident just off Junction 14 of the M65, near Pendle Leisure Centre’s Urban Altitude, around 12-20pm yesterday.

A pedestrian was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital with a serious cut to his head after being hit by a yellow Mini.

According to police, the man has been sitting up and talking to staff and family, and there are “no major concerns” over his health. Drivers were faced with delays on the M65 following the incident.
