The event was over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, July 16th and 17th and there were 11 gardens along the route throughout Fence.

As well as having the chance to see gardens at their glorious best, some owners were selling plants, homemade produce and offering drinks and refreshments.

Anne Callaghan, organiser of the Open Gardens event, said: “There were 11 lovely and varied gardens open for viewing over the weekend in July.

“This is an annual event where lots of regular visitors come and enjoy the gardens on show. The public were able to walk round the gardens over two afternoons, and complimented the gardeners on their planting and design.

“Thanks to the people who kindly opened their gardens and to the visitors who supported the event.”
