Summer of sport at Prairie Sports Village

With the school holidays here, parents are invited to register their children for the summer of sport with Burnley Leisure.

The football and golf holiday camp, based at Prairie Sports Village, offers youngsters a chance to spend their holiday taking part in a host of games and activities.

Children will have the opportunity to play football on the new 3G pitch as well as practice their swing on the golf driving range.

Sam Dixon, sport activator at Burnley Leisure, said: “The summer holiday camp provides fun outdoor activities suitable for both boys and girls aged seven to 11-years-old.

“It engages children in learning new skills, socialising with friends and making new ones in a safe environment.”

The five-week camp runs until Friday September 2nd, excluding weekends and bank holidays. All activities are led by FA qualified coaches with the support from the PGA professionals who will be sharing their golf tips.

Daily sessions cost £12 per child, or £50 for the week with sibling discounts, .

Youngsters can be dropped off and picked up half an hour before the start and up to half an hour after the end of activities, which run from 8-30am to 4pm.
