Tornados' whirlwind start to American Football season

The Burnley Tornados began their American Football season with a series of matches at Worden Academy, Leyland, last month.

Chorley Buccaneers, Pennine Panthers and Chester Romans were the teams who provided the spirited opposition which made the whole afternoon an enthralling event.

The Tornados, from the Burnley and Pendle area who train on Saturday mornings at Holt House, Colne, came away with two wins and a defeat.

The season runs until the end of July and involves matches in both the ‘Flag,’ non-contact, and ‘Kitted,’ full contact, sections.
