NELSON’S open market appears to be even more popular and successful now it has moved to the appropriately named Market Street.
Because of the £2 million-plus regeneration of the town centre, the market has had to move, but Market Street seems to be the most well-liked location. It will be considered when Pendle Council has to come up with a permanent site for the market.
At the moment, the stalls are getting plenty of visitors and people seem to like the point.
Work on the centre is expected to be completed by late June or early July, including the amphitheatre in the centre, complete with the shuttle statue.
