A skydive and bag packing helped staff at Burnley’s Marks and Spencer store to raise £7,225 for young people with cancer.

Staff set an initial target of £5,000 for The Teenage Cancer Trust but went above and beyond with one brave member sydiving from 10,000ft. out of a plane.

Colleagues hosted bucket collections and bag packing days with volunteers from Burnley College and many behind the scenes fund-raising days.

Marks and Spencers’ Angela said: “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed fund-raising for Teenage Cancer Trust over the past 12 months and are grateful for the support of all the staff and customers at the store.

“You cannot begin to believe what it would be like to have cancer as a teenager and so it was our pleasure to be able to raise this money for such a worthwhile cause.”
