Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson is back at work today after a spell in hospital over Christmas.

Mr Stephenson was rushed to hospital by ambulance in the early hours of Christmas Day with severe abdominal pains, which was later diagnosed as cholecystitis, or swelling of the gallbladder.

After a few days of rest and recuperation at home, he tweeted earlier: “Pleased to say I’m recovering well from my recent ill health and back at work today in @HouseofCommons ahead of Parliament sitting tomorrow.”
