Nelson will celebrate Lancashire Day and switch-on the Christmas Lights in an action packed Saturday.
The activities start at 11am and run right up until the big switch-on at 6pm.
A town crier will read the Lancashire Day proclamation on the hour every hour and there will be market stalls in Nelson offering a variety of produce, but with a nod to Lancashire.
Entertainment will be provided by the Phil Knight Experience who will be doing his comedic act with friends, there will be traditional music from Nelson Brass Band and a live performance from a band.
On top of that, Punjabi dancers will be putting on a show, Bradley Primary School pupils will be singing to the crowds and there will be free children’s rides.
If anybody is interested in taking up the position of town crier, email email@example.com or ring Clerk to Nelson Town Council, Steve Watson, on 07735 350735.
