Time for unity, not revolt, over Burnley FC season tickets

One of former Clarets boss Stan Ternent’s most memorable quotes related to Burnley fans who were unhappy with events on the pitch.

It went along the lines of: “Burnley fans want champagne football on beer money.”

It raised a chuckle at the time and is perhaps more relevant now as a minority of supporters have taken to fans’ message boards to express their displeasure at the prices being charged for new season ticket holders for the Premier League.

Clarets fans have had a good deal in recent years with around 8,000 getting free season tickets the last time we were in the Premier League. Now is a time for unity not revolt.
