LETTER: Free parking in Clitheroe explained
now that the parking regime on Church Brow, Church Street and York Street, Clitheroe, has changed, can I please clarify the situation for the visiting motorist, some of whom are misinterpreting the regulations?
With the exception of bays marked as disabled or loading only, all the remainder of the kerbside parking bays, including the new ones marked out with dotted white lines, are available to everyone for two hours limited waiting, free of charge.
This includes those with signage which mention “Permit Parking” as these are also available to all motorists for two hours parking, without a permit.
Hopefully this will simplify matters for anyone perplexed by the new signage.
