MP frightening residents over travellers’ sites
I see our MP is worrying residents about the potential travellers’ sites that have been identified in the draft Local Plan. He seems to think they are somehow this council or Julie Cooper’s responsibility.
He couldn’t be further from the truth. The council has to identify potential sites because the Government says it has to.
Perhaps instead of frightening the residents of Burnley, he should speak to his pal Eric Pickles and get the Government to drop the requirement to provide a traveller site in Burnley.
