A dementia awareness event hosted by the Pendle Dementia Action Alliance held this month has proved hugely successful.

The event at St John’s Church in Colne was very popular with over 100 people attending. It was the first event run by the Alliance and another one is planned in the near future in West Craven.

It’s estimated that around 4,000 people in Pendle are affected by dementia, either living with dementia or caring for someone with dementia, and that figure is growing.
